I am featuring this doll because it's my favorite of all of them. The photographer who took the original photo, Mick Rock, is one of my favorite photographers. So this is a tribute to two heroes of mine, Bowie and Mick Rock!
The second I saw the outfit this character was wearing I knew I wanted to make one. I love costumes, and crocheting fulfill part of this passion. Since I love her costume, and Star Wars, I made it my challenge to turn yarn into a mini version of Rey. I took her for a photoshoot in my backyard, but I really wish I had a box of sand, that would have been awesome. Maybe next I go to the beach I will take more pics!
Last Sunday I had a lot of fun taking photos of these two adorable cats. Ginger is a little kitty that just moved to her forever home, and found a friend and mentor in the company of Trouble, a male cat that loves everybody. Little Ginger follows him everywhere he goes like a little shadow. It's so sweet to see them together. I was lucky enough to get this shot that shows how much this little kitty loves him. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
I love cats, and I love taking pictures of them. My favorite model is the little princess that rules my home and my world, Miss Zoey. She loves the camera, and never run away when I try to take photos of her. On the contrary, she love the attention. Here I caught here lounging on her favorite sofa in her "catio".
The daughter of a friend of mine showed me a Chibi Maker app on DeviantArt, and I used it to give me inspiration for this crocheted doll. I had a lot of fun making this one, I think she turned out really cute!
I named her Olivia because her eyes remind me of the daughter of a friend of mine who has big black almond shape eyes.
In case you don't know, I have a crochet blog that I have been running for the past two years. I have free crochet patterns, tips & tutorials, helpful links, crochet topics.. Anything I love about crochet!
